I'm not sure I can remember any more what first brought us to Ngoto - we must have met Dave somewhere. At any rate, we made several visits to Ngoto over the years. Here we're in his house at the school. Dave on the left, me on the right. We're contemplating a dish of goat, I think.
OK, I'm sorry, I think this is the best photo I have of the two of them together. They were a couple then - they are still together now. Always a remarkable achievement, that.
Well, there is that long straight hair - how odd. Rees, the photographer here was also a friend we met there. His wife, Amy is to the right of Leslie (with back to camera also).
The rumor was that everyone thought Leslie would do Kung-Fu on all of them because she was oriental, after all.
Amy (on the left) pretends to be impressed with Rees' juggling. Kenyans are just puzzled.
Goat, a great tradition for Christmas. Leslie contemplates the meal.
We spent a Christmas at Ngoto.
I really enjoyed this Christmas and it was very meaningful to be there with friends. Yet again, the same lesson: it doesn't take possessions to be happy.
