Finding out about Sierra Leaone

Sierra Leone is a country of about 73,000 sq. km. with about 4.6 million people. Its official language is English. After gaining independence from Britain in 1961 it has had a one party democracy until Liberian rebels invaded the country in 1991 ushering in a series of turbulent years.
